Golf Game: Jump Start Your Golf Game
Spring is such a great time of year to start thinking about your golf game. For those of us living in southern California, we have the luck advantage of jump starting our game for a few months. During this time, we suggest to start out fine tuning each area to get yourself ready for competing out on the greens.
Where to begin?
Start out with a game refresher on putting, chipping and pitching. Once you have that down, move on to the long game. After that, get specific about what area you want to improve. This week we are focusing on strokes and where we spend the most on strokes.
To find where you spend the most time on strokes, count the number of shots you make in nine holes with woods and mid to long irons. Then count the number of shots with approach clubs and putter. Knowing where you spend the most time with your strokes will help you plan the ratio of long game to short game, which helps you set up your practice schedule.
Do you have any specific areas that you are working on this spring season?
