Napa native, Emily Talley, took the reigns at the 2012 California Women’s Championship last week.
Talley, a recent graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, finished the tournament at 2-over-par 218 with rounds of 75,72 and 71, winning the title by nine strokes.
This was Talley’s last tournament as an amateur. The college graduate has high hopes to join the ranks as a professional next month, as she plans to qualify for the LPGA at Q School. Q school will take place this September at the LPGA International Golf Course in Daytona Beach, Florida. We expect to see Talley’s name covering many more headlines in the years to come! Congratulations, again, Emily!
