Wellness Wednesday: Overall Wellness

Welcome back to yet another Wellness Wednesday! Over the past couple of weeks we have focused on power tips for a better swing. Today we will continue to expand on developing a better and stronger swing by focusing on total wellness. That means wellness not only in terms of developing proper eating habits but also mental wellness. In part of maintaining proper mental wellness it is important to take time and reflect on you; reflect back on your week, think positive thoughts, count your blessings and maintain a good sense of humor.

-Wellness for the Body-

Oblique Cross/Bicycle: Strengthen core and rotating muscle strength during swing.

Explanation: Lie on your back with both knees hugged into chest and fingertips lightly behind ears with elbows open. Bend one knee toward chest while other leg extends out parallel with floor. Use your abdominals to keep a flat back to the flow and switch legs while rotating opposite elbow toward opposite knee. Repeat 10 times.
